Insurance and Referrals

Physical Therapy Health Services accepts but is not limited to the following types of insurances:

 
• Aetna
• Blue Cross Blue Shield
• Cigna
• GIC
• Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
• Medicare
• Most Private Insurances
• Motor Vehicle Accident
• Tufts
• United Health Care
• Workers Compensation

A physical therapy referral is required by many of the above listed insurances. Please contact your insurance or primary care provider to determine whether you require a referral to initiate treatment.

Most insurance plans require a medical prescription in order to reimburse for physical therapy services.  Please bring this prescription with you on the date of the initial evaluation, or request your physicians office fax the prescription prior to your first visit.
